Osteopathic Practice | Athens
This 23m² osteopathic practice in Neo Psychiko, Athens, was reimagined through a focused, low-budget refurbishment, aiming to create a calming yet functional environment within a highly compact footprint.
The design approach centered on achieving spatial clarity with minimal intervention. A key architectural gesture is the use of the ceiling as a structural element, introducing rhythm and orientation to the space without physical partitions. This subtle overhead articulation helps organize the layout and enhances the sense of order and flow.
The color palette remains clean and predominantly white, with splashes of color providing contrast and personality. A restrained minimalist aesthetic defines the overall tone, while select warm elements—such as a custom-made plywood desk—add a tactile, inviting quality for patients.
The standout feature of the space is a fold-away cylindrical door, designed to elegantly manage transitions between clients. This flexible architectural element allows new patients to enter discreetly while maintaining privacy for those already inside, addressing both spatial and operational challenges with subtle ingenuity.
Despite its modest scale, the practice now offers a professional, welcoming atmosphere that balances clinical clarity with human warmth—ideal for therapeutic care.
